12th Sangiti, 27 January 2021, a webinar by Cerebral Palsy Sports Association of Kerala (CPSAK), our member in Kerala in association with CPSFI. The webinar was to build awareness about CPSFI and its activities for the new members of CPSAK. A presentation followed by an interesting discussion with questions from the audience answered. A well participated audience from Kerala who became familiar with objectives and the vision of CPSFI.

11th Sangiti, 17 December 2021, a webinar organised by Cerebral Palsy Sports Society of Punjab (CPSSP), our member in Punjab in association with CPSFI and Samagra. Over 350 teachers/trainers for Inclusive Education Resource Teachers (IERTs) were invited to attend the program. Efforts were to sensitise them on CP sports so they can become the ambassadors to promote CP sports in every district of the State.

Mr Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Punjab Govt was the chief guest. Director Sports, Mr DPS Kharbanda, Ms Vimmi Bhullar, Jt Secy, Social Security, Women and Child Development participated too. 

The webinar was live streamed on Youtube for accessibiltiy to more people.

1st Prashikshan, 8th February 2021

A CP football (female & male) training camp was organised by Cerebral Palsy Sports Society of Punjab (CPSSP) in Mohali. Girls and boys trained as part of the first session of the camp. This is an ongoing process, wherein these girls & boys will meet and train regularly under football coaches every 15 days. The girls and boys will be part of the CP football team (female & male), Mohali District. 

2nd Prashikshan, 12th February 2021

A Table Tennis training camp for persons with Cerebral Palsy was organised by UMMEED CP Centre, our members in Karjan, Vadodara Gujarat. Yezdi Aspa Bhamgara, national & international CP TT player, was present to encourage and conduct initial training session to the boys & girls with CP. Table Tennis Federation of India TTFI partnered in this cause.

3rd Prashikshan, 24th February 2021

A CP Football training camp for persons with Cerebral Palsy was organised at the ITI playground, Birubari in Guwahati, Assam, by Shishu Sarothi, our member in Guwahati, Assam.

Boys & Girls registered and participated in the first session of the 3rd Prashikshan program. This is just the beginning. More to follow. The excitement was high.

A para taekwondo training camp for persons with Cerebral Palsy was organised at the Taekwondo Hall, Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Panchkula, Haryana. Para Taekwondo Association (India), our member, conducted this camp for boys & girls. Special thanks to Mr Sukhdev Raj, Gen Secy, PTAI for the initiative and Mr Harjinder Singh Bhatti, the taekwondo coach who coordinated the event and conducted the training session.

MoU between CPSFI and All India Football Federation (AIFF)

 

An Mou was signed on 15 August 2020 between CPSFI and All India Football Federation (AIFF). AIFF will lend CPSFI, technical support, in the efforts to promote CP Football in India.

CPSFI "National CP Football Championship 2020" UPDATE

CPSFI cares for the safety & health of all its players & officials. In the wake of the covid-19 situation, as a precautionary measure, the “National CP Football Championship 2020” scheduled for 22-24 March 2020 is postponed to later dates (TBA after assessing the situation). This was decided in an Emergency Meeting of the CPSFI Executive Board.

CPSFI website www.cpsfi.org was launched by Mr Kapil Dev during the 1st Executive Board Meeting held on 17 August 2019 in New Delhi. Mr Dev was appreciative of the good work CPSFI has been doing. He volunteered to help get RaceRunning frames to India.

Meeting with the Hon'ble Minister of State (I/C) Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports​ Shri Kiren Rijiju

Team CPSFI met Shri Kiren Rijiju, Minister for sports at his office to apprise him on the importance and the need to promote cerebral palsy sports. The nearly 25 lakh cp children in the country could largely benefit from this movement with the support from the Government. The 40-minute meeting was very positive and promising.
